I'm Aden Ansari, a finance professional with 8+ years across internal audit, accounting, compliance and financial reporting in the UAE and India. I oversee audit and finance for a nine-company group, delivered the group's first UAE Corporate Tax filing cycle, and build Excel automation from scratch. I once traced a ₹50 lakh irregularity nobody else had seen. I also write, because clear numbers deserve clear words.
Available on 30 days' notice · UAE employment visa · on-site UAE / GCC or remoteMost of my work happens where the ledger meets the process: testing internal controls, closing the month, reconciling what the bank says against what the books believe. In Dubai I run audit and finance oversight for two client groups and a standalone company, nine entities in all, reviewing records, flagging risk gaps, and turning MIS and variance reports into decisions senior management can act on. My scope expanded to full audit oversight of all nine entities in May 2026.
On the tax side I delivered the group's first UAE Corporate Tax filing cycle: taxable-income computations, provisions and add-backs, connected-person and related-party rules, and sole-establishment versus LLC treatment across the structure. I prepare and reconcile VAT201 returns with workpapers that tie filed returns back to the general ledger, and maintain payroll and gratuity registers under Article 51 of the UAE Labour Law alongside MoHRE labour-card compliance.
The other half of my toolkit is automation. I'm a certified Excel VBA developer who has built payroll systems, attendance trackers and finance tools from a blank workbook, three of them now published free, and I'm currently adding Power BI, SQL and Python. Grounded in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, GST, and the unglamorous discipline of getting filings in on time.
Managed AP/AR across the company's service contracts; prepared bills, invoices and MIS reports in Excel and Tally; reconciled accounts and kept the books compliant with taxation requirements.
Identified a ₹50 lakh (≈ USD 52,990 / AED 194,625) financial irregularity during a routine audit, tracing a full year of undocumented collections and presented the findings directly to the owner. Prepared monthly and annual financial statements, managed tax filings, and ran stock audits.
Built an automated Excel VBA payroll system from scratch for a 15-person workforce, created an attendance tracker and searchable employee database, and worked with sales on timely collections.
Managed quarterly GST returns and e-way bills, assisted with monthly and annual financial reports, resolved invoice disputes with vendors and customers, and became proficient in Tally Prime.
Built from scratch for a 15-person workforce, automating salary calculations end to end and eliminated the recurring manual errors that had been part of every month-end.

Read on Typeshare →Working systems, not templates. Built in Excel, tested in real finance work. Download, open, use. No installation, no subscription.
An Excel tool that tells you which customer will become your next bad debt.
Built by an accountant who chases real debtors every week. Not a template. A working system. One macro-enabled workbook. No installation. No subscription.
Drop in your Tally ledger exports. The tool reads them for you. For every customer, it works out four things: how fast they actually pay you, to the day. How much of their dues they have ever cleared. How old their unpaid balance really is. Whether their balance reconciles with your books.
Then it gives each customer a risk score out of 100. Safe customers get a recommended credit limit. Risky ones get a warning. Critical ones get flagged as projected bad debt, before the money is gone.
Paste your full debtors list and it builds a work queue: top 10 biggest balances flagged first. Tick them off, the next 10 appear. One click builds a management report in plain English. One click clears everything for the next cycle.
Stop guessing who deserves credit. Know it. Your biggest exposures get chased first, not whoever called loudest. Bad debts get caught while they are still collectable.
The credit limit conversation with management becomes a printed report, not an argument. Hours of ledger analysis become minutes.
Accountants and credit controllers drowning in customer ledgers. Small business owners selling on credit without a credit policy. Trading businesses in building materials, FMCG and spare parts, where 20 customers hold 80% of your money. Finance managers who need to justify credit decisions on paper.
If you sell on credit and track it in Tally or Excel, this was built for you.
A complete attendance and payroll system inside one Excel file.
Employee database, attendance register, and salary calculation, connected and automated. No HR software fees. No learning curve. Just Excel, working harder than you thought it could.
Keeps a proper employee database, with photographs. Add, update, or remove staff through simple forms, not messy cells. Tracks daily attendance in a clean register.
Then does the part everyone dreads: the payout calculation. Attendance flows into salary automatically. Days worked, days absent, payable amount: computed, not typed.
An admin lock hides the sensitive sheets from casual eyes. One click hides, one click reveals. A built-in help sheet means anyone on your team can run it.
Salary day stops being a two-day exercise. Attendance disputes end, because the register is the record. Calculation errors disappear, and so do the overpayments they cause.
New staff onboard in minutes with a proper database entry, photo included. Your salary data stays private, even on a shared computer.
Small and medium businesses running payroll manually. Shops, workshops, contractors, and trading firms with 5 to 100 staff. Accountants handling payroll for multiple clients. Any owner who has ever paid a salary twice, or late, because of a spreadsheet mess.
If payroll eats your month-end, this gives it back.
One Excel function that writes any amount in words, the way invoices and cheques demand it.
USD, AED and INR. Dollars and Cents, Dirhams and Fils, Rupees in Lakhs and Crores. Not a workbook to open. Just a single function you paste in once and keep forever.
=CurrencyInWords(1250.50, "USD")=CurrencyInWords(500.75, "AED")=CurrencyInWords(150000, "INR")Type one formula and it hands back the words. It knows each currency properly: Dollars and Cents, Dirhams and Fils, Rupees and Paise.
It uses the right number system for each: Millions and Billions for USD and AED, Lakhs and Crores for INR.
It reads the decimals as minor units and closes every amount with "Only", exactly how a cheque or invoice needs it. Leave the currency out and it defaults to USD.
Invoices, cheques and payment vouchers get their amount-in-words line without a second thought. No more typing long amounts by hand, and no more mismatches between the figures and the words.
It works inside any workbook you already have. One function covers your UAE work and your India work both.
Accountants and cashiers who write cheques, invoices and payment vouchers. Anyone billing in Dollars, Dirhams or Rupees who needs the words spelled correctly. Businesses working across the UAE and India, switching between Western and Indian number systems.
If you have ever typed "Dirhams and Fils" by hand on an invoice, this ends that.
One-time setup. You are adding a function to your own workbook.
Set it up once and the formula works in any file you open, because the code lives in a macro-enabled home, not inside your .xlsx. Two ways:
Sending a finished sheet to someone without the setup? Copy → Paste Special → Values first, so the words stay as plain text, no macro needed. (Otherwise their file shows #NAME? on recalculation.)

The certification behind the automation I build: the payroll system, the credit-control workbook and the currency function all come out of this.
Formal Indian indirect-tax grounding, the base I filed quarterly GST returns and e-way bills on before moving to UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
Shared, cloud-based reporting: the same modelling discipline as Excel, for finance work that has to be live and collaborative.
Scripting beyond the spreadsheet, batching the repetitive file work that surrounds an audit cycle.
Keeping audit documentation organised at volume, since nine entities generate a lot of files, and they have to be findable.
The track I am on now: Excel and Power Pivot first, then Power BI, SQL, Python and Tableau. Listed here as in progress, not as a finished credential.
